How to join the program:
In order to take part in the 
patient rewards program, you will first need to consult with your dental professional to see if it is safe to whiten your teeth. If your teeth can be whitened, you will need to purchase a whitening procedure (In-Office or Take Home) including whitening trays, to be enrolled. You will also be responsible for keeping your hygiene cleaning appointments as prescribed by your dental professional.
How the program works:
By maintaining your hygiene recall appointments every 2-6 months (as prescribed by your dental professional), you will be given complimentary touch up whitening gel for life from your dental professional, after completing each cleaning appointment.
What happens if I miss my teeth cleaning appointment?
As a whitening member, by missing your hygiene appointments you can be eliminated from the whitening program. To re-enroll in the program your dental professional will have a re-enrollment plan, which may include an additional fee and proof of commitment for your future hygiene appointments.
Is there a cost to be on the program?
To be enrolled in the program you are required to purchase your initial whitening treatment as prescribed by your dental professional and custom made whitening trays. This may involve a chair-side whitening procedure or a take home product.

What is teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening is a process known as oxidation. Any discolorations within the tooth will be lightened. Organic materials break down to remove staining and create a whiter, brighter smile.
What causes my teeth to discolor?
There are many causes of tooth discoloration. Some of the most common include the consumption of highly colored foods (berries) and drinks (coffee, tea, red wine). Antibiotics at a young age, aging, smoking and trauma can also result in discolorations. Whitening may not affect all these conditons.
How long will it last?
Indefinitely. By participating in the program, you will receivecomplimentary touch up whitening gel at each hygiene recall appointment for life, as determined necessary by your dental professional.
Is the treatment safe?
Yes. Clinical studies have shown that whitening with carbamide or hydrogen peroxide under the supervision of a dental professional is safe for teeth and gums.
What if I have restorations in my teeth, will these change color?
Whitening will remove any existing stains on the restorations but will not affect the original shade.
What are the steps involved?
With In-Office Whitening, a gel is placed directly on your teeth and will remain in contact with them for less than 30 minutes. With Take Home Whitening, the whitening gel is placed in your custom trays which fit over your teeth. The whitening gel (either carbamide or hydrogen peroxide) is broken down and oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, and the stains are "dissolved."
What are the side effects?
For the majority of patients, there are none. However, some will experience temporary sensitivity (or sensitivity to hot or cold). This will subside after several hours. If sensitivity is present, wear times can be shortened or made less frequent. Additionally, request desensitizing gel which will help decrease sensitivity and can be used before or after the whitening process.
How long does it take?
With In-Office Whitening, the total treatment time will take less than an hour, ensuring your instant gratification. Take Home Whitening takes about 5-14 days by performing the treatment in the comfort of your own home. With either option, you achieve a whiter, younger-looking smile.
