Teeth Whitening
My Dentist offers Laser Teeth Whitening and other in-office procedures, which dramatically whiten teeth in about an hour.
Your Hygienist begins the whitening procedure by applying a resin barrier to protect your gums from coming into contact with the whitening gel. A light-activated gel is applied to each tooth. A laser or special light is used to activate the gel. The gel is removed from your teeth using suction. Your Hygienist will reapply the whitening gel 2 to 3 more times to reach the desired shade.
Patients can also whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home with our Take-Home Whitening system. Custom trays (similar to a night guard) are fabricated to exactly fit your teeth. You use professional-strength, whitening gel in the trays to gradually whiten your teeth. After you reach the desired shade, you can use your trays to touch up the whitening, as needed. You can also use the take-home trays after an in-office whitening to touch up your teeth a few times a year when stains from food or drink start to appear.
